Our Story
Into Chocolate Candy & Confections began operations in November, 2009 when owners Delaine and Doug Willms purchased Ruby Slipper Specialty Co., which had been operating in Fort Langley since 2006. This shop is the realization of Delaine’s dream to bring chocolate and candy from around the world for the enjoyment of those who love sweets. Delaine has been making her own hand-crafted chocolates for over 30 years and received the designation as a professional chocolatier from Ecole Chocolat in 2008.
In June of 2012, Doug and Delaine expanded their dream when they opened a new location in Cloverdale at Brickyard Station which was equipped with a kitchen to craft delicious chocolate treats. After 13 years in operation, the Cloverdale location was closed in 2025 and chocolate production and packaging were relocated to the Fort Langley location.
In August 2016, Delaine and Doug moved their Fort Langley location to a new larger space in the Coulter Berry Building. The space was designed with a kitchen for fudge making and then expanded in 2025 for chocolate production and packaging.
